Loma being a straight Diva but no one dare complain

lopez does bring something to the table himself....people want to see him vs loma...so lopez has a tiny bit of leverage and he wants to use it...might feel having it in nyc gives him a bit of a "shot in the arm"....no harm in that for him....it still gives him no clear advantage....loma has fought there...loma has headlined there....loma is p4p top 3....loma is a face of the espn/TR boxing program...and lopez is still a virtual unknown to casuals.....thats just fact.....theres no clear cut advantage for lopez here.....he simply has a tiny bit of leverage and would like to flex it....and feels ny gives him something.....
loma would have no problem fighting anyone else in nyc though right? except a guy he knows it will kill a fight....its like golovkin saying "anyone to 168" then knowing 164 will kill a ward fight.....
christ loma has fought in nyc as many times as lopez....and he headlined his shows!Comment

who in their right mind picked Linares over Loma? You already said that to Loma when he moved up to LW and accused him of avoiding Linares then went silent after Loma KOed Linares, and after Linares, you gonna go to say Lopez and after Loma humiliates Lopez, its gonna be Ryan Garcia.
You are gonna find one hispanic fighter after another to pick vs Loma till he retires or gets beaten.Comment

has he ever fought someone from new york in new york? and how does he know it will kill the fight? and if it does kill the fight because lopez refuses to fight anywhere else isnt that mostly lopez's fault? once again one guy is willing to fight anywhere and one guy will onl fight in his hometown yet here you are trying to spin it so loma is the one ducking...lopez does bring something to the table himself....people want to see him vs loma...so lopez has a tiny bit of leverage and he wants to use it...might feel having it in nyc gives him a bit of a "shot in the arm"....no harm in that for him....it still gives him no clear advantage....loma has fought there...loma has headlined there....loma is p4p top 3....loma is a face of the espn/TR boxing program...and lopez is still a virtual unknown to casuals.....thats just fact.....theres no clear cut advantage for lopez here.....he simply has a tiny bit of leverage and would like to flex it....and feels ny gives him something.....

and ward didn't know asking for ggg to postpone the canelo fight for more than a year would kill the fight? ward wanting ggg to lock himself into a multi fight deal while he was waiting for canelo isn't killing the fight? oh not thats different because ggg should have known canelo would duck him so he should have preemptively postponed the canelo fight for a year in pursuit of ward. very logical and rational thinking there. why not just try to fight ggg now??? why the mutli fight crap??? thats not killing though, refusing to fight a guy in his hometown is!Last edited by daggum; 03-24-2020, 10:28 AM.Comment

I agree, Loma hasn't shown enough slippage yet for TR to be ready for him to "pass the torch" to Teo.always knew this fight was gonna be tough to make....it just doesnt make sense for TR from a company standpoint
plus you heard loma come right out and say how he figured TR would probably prefer lopez win...plus all the talk of lopez going to 140 very soon
ive always been skeptical of this fight actually happening...but who knows
That being said, TR probably doesn't want to realize that Loma has slipped after a fight against Tank, Ryan, Devin and co. Make sure you pass the torch to a TR fighter has to be their motto.Last edited by Afi23; 03-24-2020, 10:50 AM.Comment

Pedraza and Walters are/were better than Linares, Crolla, and Campbell.agreed. typical entitled, privilegd american boxers. i wonder how many of the american 'greats' would be considered great if they had to travel to lets say, russia, and deal with a russian ref, commission and 3 russian judges. just an example.
no offense, but you are making no sense...at all.
campbell is a weakling yet is a gold medalist and gave loma a tough fight - his distance management, size and reach presented real problems for loma. how tf can you say campbell is a weakling and that lopez is a tougher challenge but then also say;
so lopez is FOR SURE better than campbell, linares and crolla but we dont know if hes better than 130lb walters and pedraza? absolutely baffling logic.
rigo has longer reach and was outboxed, he wasnt bullied. purely outboxed and outlanded.
Campbell lost in a near shutout vs Lomachenko. We might have seen a different fight.
Campbell’s amateur accolades don’t automatically translate into him being an All Time Great, Hall of Fame pro boxer. I look at this career as a pro, not what color medal he won. Audley Harrison won gold at the Olympics too, should we rate him highly as a pro as well?
I wonder if Campbell can even beat Fortuna? Who I rate as a -B.
Yes, Lopez, green Lopez, is already better than Campbell, Linares and Crolla. But that is not saying much because I really don’t think very highly of those 3 at all.
So yes, the jury is still out if Lopez is even better than Walters and Pedraza.
Between Walters, Crolla, Linares and Campbell, it’s Walters who has the best win and actually the best resume among them.
The only way my post is baffling is if you rate those 3 very highly. Otherwise you’d know what i’m talking about.
Reach isn’t size. Rigondeaux was small, he came up to two weight classes. There is no way to sugarcoat this. But that is Lomachenko’s best win so far, imo.Comment

yeah but if you put on your boxingscene glasses loma vs campbell and loma vs pedraza were life and death fights. did you forget to put them on?Pedraza and Walters are/were better than Linares, Crolla, and Campbell.

That was weird, there were actually people who were high on Linares. I really don’t know why, because he hasn’t beaten a single good boxer in his career (imo). Lomachenko was licking his chops to fight that dude. He def chased that fight and wanted Linares bad, he knew Linares was fragile and it was a high possibility of the fight ending in TKO due to Linares inability of taking too many hard punches.
He was carefully brought up by DLH, especially after his first 3 KO losses. DLH realized he had a very fragile fighter in his hands and pretty much built him up with soft touches and the fans ate it all up. The fighters he faced who had a pulse, were not good punchers, they were “safe” fights against euro level fighters (Crolla, Campbell, Mitchell).Comment

I did not have boxingscene glasses on.
I should rewatch the fight in slow motion, 8k blu ray on Samsung’s 100” “The Wall” tv. I should also watch/score the fight backwards, in rewind, starting from round 12. I need to also set the picture settings in black and white, and mute the sound.Comment
what a clown. You literally made a thread about Lomachenko ducking Linares and after a week later, the fight was official but you never gave him credit for that because Lomachenko didn't "properly" knocked Linares out.
