It seems silly now but it needs to be put in the context of the time it took place.
Pac was a SWF who just moved up to LW who fought Oscar at WW instead of LMW or MW so it wouldn't look like more of a shameful cherry pick than it was in order for Oscar to duck Margarito who seemed like a machine at the time but used Pac as a distraction from that even if Pac dominated and destroyed Margs later.Comment

After moving up a division and having that one single fight at 135, Oscar called Pacquiao out and fight at 147 at Oscar's behest.
