There are not many words that can describe Harry greb apart from legend. As a child at Christmas time I would always get a new boxing encyclopedia, the first thing I would do is look to see if there was any more info on Harry greb, as I had realized what a fighting machine this man must of been. That's why I have Mr greb as my avatar he's one of the all time greats in my book, and as alot of the old time fighters, had a tragic ending, sad really. Rip champ.

I have heard the expression and thought it was from a blues song but Greb was way before that.

Or was this just the title of the book and not associated with him?

I love greb because he didn't hide behind the color line. His record is littered with tough black fighters

I miss the MAAT series

not meaning for Greb, we know whats up with him

I know they don't get much clicks... but MAAT is a great read, and great to bookmark for reference material

probably an exhaustive amount of work for little reward

I heard it said that in Pittsburgh there was a trunk perched over a ledge and in it were documents detailing how the Earth had been visited by aliens, with photos and all... unfortunately it was knocked over into the river when the person going to pick it up thought he had heard that another trunk had footage of some of Harry Greb's fights!
