People gave credit to Canelo because of how much more positive He fought in the 2nd fight but in actual fact he received more shots than GGG as confirmed by compubox. Also, we mustn't forget Canelo was visibly hurt on two occasions from right hooks. If he chooses to fight in the pocket like that again he'll again be open to those type of shots.
I honestly think Compubox is quite inaccurate a lot of times.

Like I said, GGG won the first and I would’ve gave him the 2nd fight too, although a Draw would’ve been justifiable as well.

So I’m just going off the pattern we see. Canelo is still riding high where as GGG has aged, had a bad last performance, and has already failed twice at laying Canelo down...I just can’t see him suddenly doing it now.

        Although, yes still possible.
But I believe Canelo will be too smart for that.

The warrior and fighter he became was largely shaped by his early life; his two old brothers used to encourage him to fight older men in street fights when he was only 8/9 years old and they got him into boxing. He then had to go through the pain of seeing them both lose their lives fighting for the Russian army and their bodies were never recovered. I believe everything he has achieved and even his style of fighting is down to his early life experiences and honor of his brothers. This trilogy fight with Canelo will be like a final fight where I can see him putting it all o the line.

Canelo will no doubt be faster in the pocket with quicker hands but I honestly believe GGG will be prepared to take a few to land one one or two meaty ones of his own. The corkscrew left hook has been Golovkin's signature punch and I can see him landing it right on the crown of Canelo's head which will have a big impact in this fight. Most punches you can block but chopping punches from a 12 to 6 trajectory are difficult because you then leave the body or temples opened up for attack. I really would't be surprised to see Canelo get dropped or KO'd here because Golovkin wll surely just leave it all in the ring in what could be his last high profile fight.

Granted Golovkin will be two years older but I don't see him putting a beating on him unless Golovkin has deteriorated even more. Can't see this fight being at 160 either.
I think I read it will be at 160.

I will say your point about motivation level is key imo...Canelo was far more motivated, relatively speaking in fight 2, than GGG was...Canelo was coming off a fortunate draw (in most people's eyes) and also the PED scandal..and also the taunting of GGG fighting more like a Mexican than him.

The roles will be reversed in a 3rd fight...there is a saying I like in sports...you can't fake desperate...and Canelo can't fake getting up to that same motivation level as he had in fight 2...GGG now is the one with everything to prove...does he still have it...can he impress in fight 3 like Canelo impressed many in fight 2...people saying Canelo took it to him etc, saying he lost to SD.

I still think GGG will outbox Canelo more rounds than not...he is just too active combined with Canelo's fighting in spurts...but wouldn't be surprised if Canelo hurt him at some point...Canelo is getting stronger it seems...and GGG is looking more vulnerable as we know.

But hope it happens in September...should be a good entertaining fight and night.

I agree that compubox can at times be flawed...especially sometimes with not giving some guys credit for landing punches that seemingly did land...a lot of times the A-side can benefit like that...Pac-Horn comes to mind for me.

I do think GGG outlanded Canelo by pretty solid margins in both fights, almost every round really he outlanded him I would say.

Also I would say that if one guy is getting hurt bad/KOed in fight 3, it is probably GGG...but I do think there is a reason why Canelo has been hesitant to fight GGG a 3rd time...he knows how tough those 2 fights were for him, especially fight 2...he knows that took a lot out of him to fight like that, and he probably has never felt like that in a fight before, where he was really in danger.

GGG's main advantage in fight 3 is he should be more motivated to show up than Canelo, certainly compared to how they both came into fight 2...maybe that extra motivation will come out in his favor and he can get to Canelo.

But yeah I'm not sure if GGG still has it in his bag anymore...the mind may be willing but not sure the body is able.

Should be a fun fight and a great event though!

Tell me again who keeps fighting cans and who keeps fighting world champs?

Tell me again who was going on about "Mexican Style" and then ended up getting backed up by the smaller guy?

Tell me again who kept stalling negotiations and who took forever to sign on to a new network after the HBO shutdown?

Get your head out of 97k's ass you homo. If Canelo's a diva when it comes to negotiations, then 97k is a little punk hoe for fighting bums and crying when a decision doesn't go his way.

You go on and on about the Canelo decisions, DO YOU AGREE THAT THE DEREVYANCHENKO FIGHT WAS A BAD DECISION THEN?
