Marquez knew it was GO TIME - Do or DIE - in Round 6 (considering his age), so he threw fire with fire. I don’t know what it is about Mexican boxing, but second place comes to the Brits, street brawlers by nature. The next one IMHO whom LOADS UP with conviction in beast mode is Ryan Garcia. Dude got speed and power. Slow motion replays of their faces show all. That’s why Canelo is a badass. Can’t dismiss GGG either. Charlos, Mikey, Inoue. It’s all in the face with their intention
Right. It’s that conviction of standing in the pocket and firing off that counter, believing in all ur skill, speed, timing. King Ry didn’t flinch and he threw his KO punch after his opponents but he got it there first. That’s nerve and confidence. Canelo imo used to have issues with being flat footed and would need to pull back and reset after firing his combos. But that was a long while ago and he’s improved more than I could have expected, and more than most ever do. His stuff looks real nice head to toe, offence and defence. I always liked how hard GGG hits, but his footwork, defence have faded. He has a great chin. He just pushes forward at this stage, and blocks punches with his face, while throwing hard. It’s what to be expected at this point in his career, but it’s not as nice to watch. I don’t need to see Canelo fight him again.

Julian Jackson v Bomber Graham. Graham was beating Jackson up and Jackson’s corner told him he only had one more round at the end of the 3rd due to the eye injury. As Graham was backing him up into a corner again, along came one of the most evil 1 punch KO’s of all time.

Altho I admire ryan garcia for what u just said here it was also a bad move that would have got him clipped at a higher level his chin was right in the air . This is why i would like them to develope him a bit more before a real step up . I think linares at this point is a good step up assuming linares is past it but he still may pull a rabbit out of the hat at lightweight.

That was straight savage that ko I thought Graham may be dead if I didnt see his erratic breathing after that punch . Jackson was a bad man that was hands down one of the most viscious kos in the history of the sport

Someone already posted the video of a one-armed Danny Williams knocking out Mark Potter, which is one of them.

But in strict terms of "it ain't over until it's over", then it has to be Jorge Castro coming back from the dead to knock John David Jackson out in their first fight. Castro was dominated, battered and on the verge of being stopped, then... boom!

And John David Jackson vs Castro.
              Worse than the Graham case.

Castro's face destroyed, ref about to stop it or most already would have when...

Of course, Jackson went on to be a trainer of note.

Including for Sergey "Pay me $10 mil and I won't throw hard" Kovalev.

True, but he did land that same shot several times in that round to effect beforehand. I’m sure that gave him the confidence that it was there for the KO. I haven’t seen enough footage of Ry or even against enough talent to really know how good he actually is. But pretty KOs like that against a fighter that was being talked up is a good start. It’s a fine line between seeing that and knowing if that’s maturity beyond his years or a potential flaw down the road. But it was a shot that was landing and then used for a KO, so I can’t fault that. I’ve seen Linares fight in person in a war, to get a spectacular KO. I’ve seen him KOd in a round. He’s a fighter u don’t ever know exactly what ur gonna get. Yeah he dropped Loma, but not that hard, nothing like the body shot that finished him. I’m glad Linares looked good in his fight to help sell the Ry fight. We will see what happens. All Ry has to do is win basically. If Linares wins good for him, but it will be unfortunate as it will just perpetuate younger fighters to be coddled more. But then again it is what it is. May the best man win always of course, and let it be a promotion or boxing to ask for even more.
