As for not fighting knockout artists, a "weight bully" might be able to beat up on overmatched opposition for awhile but eventually he will run into another top guy who "squeezes down".
Back to old day rules weigh in the day of the fight . Not really brain busting idea

Yes didn’t read his statement the other day he quoted I’m not really a 126 pounder so I’m thinking of moving up to 130 after Josh Warrenton fight

First off Loma is listed at 5’7, Stevenson is only an inch taller and height and being a bigger man are 2 different things.....Campbell is the same height as Canelo but Canelo is a much bigger man

And Loma also made Rigo jump up to 130 instead of fighting him at 126 that’s not being a weight bully?

Most fighters start there career at lower weights and move up

I think that would have unintended consequences because fighters would still try to get down to unnatural weights, then they might explore illegal ways to rehydrate

Listed doesn't mean correct Loma is short, Lopez is listed at 5'6 wait for the fight and you will see Loma will be much shorter than him. Pacquiao is listed at 5'6 Mayweather at 5'8 there is no way Mayweather is just 2 inches taller when they fought Mayweather had 4 inches on him easy

I just did a quick google search and apparently same-day weigh-ins were discontinued because fighters didn't have adequate time to re-hydrate and they were therefore at a greater risk for brain injuries. Also, there was a fear of one fighter not making weight and thus potentially cancelling a lucrative event.

I will admit that I don't like seeing guys gain 20 lbs. overnight either so I would like to see a re-hydration limit of 10 lbs on the morning of the fight.
