Mann I miss Pirog. I would've loved to see him against the current crop at 154-60. I think he cleans both Charlos up.

Pirog from what I understand had a back injury which retired him so now he's a turnip farmer in Russia.

That's one of my most rewatched fights. His head movement and defense were so impressive against Jacobs. Basically a less offensive version of what Canelo did. And he knocked him out clean

He injured his back while training for GGG and that finished his career, yes.

He went into management and politics after, not farming.

Damn, didnt know that fight was even set to happen.

Too bad, we missed out on what would have been a real interesting one.

Too bad about him not farming, I could go for a delicious mouthwatering turnip right now lol

He wasn't the typical Eastern European boxer though he had great fundamentals. I think he really dug the stick and move style. He would've given Golovkin a lot of problems.

That fight with Golovkin was going to be so good. Would've been a dance with both of them shifting everywhere.

I know because after the Jacobs fight he kinda quietly left the sport. I've never noticed he left
