I forgot about WBA belt! You are right. By the way, WBA guys are very calm and don't mention any mandatories for Canelo. This whole situation is pathetic. All these organizations just make money. I don't see any reason to have them in the sport. They don't make fights. They just adjust to boxers' will and make money. It would be even better if every promoter had his own belt. Just like in mma.

This tag was created for the purpose to vacuum some more money by WBC via the boxers who have this WBC tag. Intelligent move for the purpose of making money, not doing favor to us boxing fans who follow the sport in the dates of the Golden Boxing Era. Shit, I miss that era.

What he meant to say was, with the money canelo brings in we wanted to make sure we attached ourselves to that for as long as possible, plus we can collect money off of Charlo for his version of the WBC belt. Now no matter what weight class canelo fights at we collect sanctioning fees. Extra sanctioning fees equals private jet, a new yacht, a pay raise, or maybe just some extra money in his offshore accounts. And before anybody says anything about Loma, I don't agree with him having this bogus belt either. This isn't a bash on canelo, I'm bashing the WBC for creating this monstrosity. It's bad enough with regular, world, super, interim, gold, diamond and silver belts. Now there's franchise too, which is obviously just a money grab.... Smh
