I feel so much safer now that Rahman is going to carry us on his back. I mean I hope he wins but **** me we are in big trouble if he is our only hope.

          Wtf is Rahman talking about?
95% of Americans don't even know who he is.

Initially, the campaign for the rematch began with the storyline of Rahman seeking revenge on Maskaev for a 1999 knockout loss. Not long after the bout was signed, Top Rank, the lead promoter of the HBO pay-per-view fight, focused on the storyline of Rahman being the only American heavyweight champion left standing, and Maskaev looking to beat him for the European sweep of the heavyweight titles. rahman let the country down when he turned pro, and when he won the title.

rahman lets people down. its what he does.

"Irish" Terry Konklin. He's like: "I'M NOT IRISH".

Maskaev is an American and they're about two steps from having him pose in front of a red flag with a hammer and sickle, wearing a fur hat and coat.
                  lol, very funny post.

It is true, but how the hell else can they sell this as a pay per view?

It would be even more funny:

If Rahman was born in Russia and Oleg was born in Baltimore....and Rahman still kept playing the U.S.A. card.
