I forgot to share these. The big chicken Tyson Fury, was shook of John McDermott after the savage beating McDermott handed Fury in their first fight. As such, team Fury like Anthony Joshua, set the fat-man up for failure in the rematch :

Tyson violated BBBofC rules, in refusing to wear the same gloves. Furthermore, Fury made John McDurmott wear British BBE gloves ( both men wore BBE gloves in the first encounter ), which are designed to prevent brain damage. Tyson on the other hand, got his way and wore the professional Reyes punchers gloves.

SKYSPORTS threaten the euro-level journeyman John McDermott with a law-suit if he did not accept these unfair conditions minutes before the schedule rematch.

So the way I see it, Tyson never settled the score with McDermott and robbed him twice.
McDermott didn't see it that way though did he son?

You missed out the bit when he said that he overtrained for the rematch and Fury beat him fair and square, he also said that he knew Fury was a special fighter as soon as he started fighting him.

Here''s the actual interview that 1hourGimp is referring to.

Thanks for sharing, the members of the boxinscene can hear it from the man himself ( if they can understand John's heavy British accent ). Everything I wrote, comes from this interview. So John, tries to take his bogus unfair loss with grace, this does not erase the unjust manipulation of the gloves that went on minutes before the rematch with Tyson Fury.

Why did you not mention that Gypsy-John ( Tyson's father ) told John McDermott to his face that Tyson lost the first fight?

Because i don't really give a toss about fights that happened over a decade ago and have no relevance to today. I've always stated that Fury-McDermott 1 was a close fight that could've gone either way. I personally had Fury up by a round or two, but if John had got the decision i wouldn't have cried about it.

Fury proved he was the better man by outboxing him and sparking him out in the rematch.

The gloves were a non-issue, it's not Team Fury's fault that John didn't read the contract correctly.

I don't know if Fury deliberately tampered his gloves and I don't claim that he did.

People can make up their own minds based on the videoevidence of which there's plentyfold.

Nothing about Battling Nelson, Fritzie Zivic, B-Hop, Ward, Bika???...
I just took Fury and Marg because these are from the era of this forum and its about tampering. I left out Luis Resto because that was also before the internet.

OP is apparently a sub-forum moderator? He should know better than to create smear threads like this.

I'm still waiting for a single credible journalist to bring up glovegate......
                Then just vote Marg.

At the time, McDermott was an avoided, experienced British champion and Fury was a 21yr old rookie learning his craft. He should be given credit for facing a dangerous opponent like John at that stage of his career.
