I'm a HUGE Canelo fan, but you cant be honest with yourself if you believe Kova was 100%

The ONLY possibility was Kova being burned out or over trained as he had 1 month off between fight and camps

There’s two sides to that. Kovalev was the bigger man. Kovalev is even showing his acknowledgment to fight above 175 now if I’m not mistaken. Canelo went to his weight. Canelo is faster at 160-168. I would say Canelo at 168 is 100%, and Canelo didn’t have Kova fight at 170lbs. It was a fair commitment and deal.

It’s not Canelo’s fault that Kovalev was the favorite against Yarde. All Kovalev had to do was beat Yarde, and many of us predicted a knockout in the first half.

Again it all played out. Both Canelo and Kovalev weren’t “100%.”
