williams has every right to be upset with hurd. Hurd exercised the rematch clause tying willians entire 2019 up before pulling out of the fight months later.

Who wouldn’t be upset spending time and money on a fight that the opponent pulls out last minute because of reasons.

Ironically enough, similar thing happened to me at Hurd/J-Rock. I took a couple of co-workers who are more than casuals but definitely more knowledgeable about MMA. I hyped up Hurd only to watch him get beat by Williams. I could tell they were wondering where the fighter was that I was hyping to them.

Great stuff that you took your son, good to share the sport with the next generation and the Liacouras Center is a very nice venue for fights IMO. Hope you all had fun and memories regardless of result.

Get tired of all this "bum" talk as well. Neither Hurd nor Williams are bums. They wouldn't have the names on thier resumes that they do if they were bums.

Both have flaws in their game but not many fighters are flawless.

Williams probably smart not to exercise the rematch immediately but he shouldn't have given so much stick to Hurd for changing his mind. As I recall he also talked how he wouldn't make the same mistakes as Hurd in his hometown fight (and then proceeded to make them). I like J-Rock, hope him and Bread bounce back and get after it.
