Seems like a nice kid, I wish he could have gotten a little further and made some serious money before the inevitable happened.
But he had to fight someone decent who can punch sometime. Better it was Helenius than someone better. Kownacki can actually learn form this.

Well its not suprising considering you use your face as your defence, throw loads of punches which exposes your defence and is/are too overly reliant on your chin. Lucky it wasnt wilder or someone like whyts in there else it would have been even more brutal

I was at his fight against Szpilka in 2017. He weighed 242. He was never an adonis but check out how he looked a few years ago. Video below:

Didn’t see this coming. Truth is that below the one clear class of the division Fury, all the rest can lose to anyone at any time. Wilder, Joshua, Ruiz - all of em. Too many flaws

Exactly. Kownacki was a big favorite for a reason. Should he have taken the A.J fight? In hindsight, of course but that is not how life works. How many actors turned down roles that they later regretted after the movie was a success? Tom Selleck was offered the role of Indiana Jones before Harrison Ford. Happens all the time!

Kownacki was planned like next Ortiz ( unbeaten PBC hype job) for Wilder, if Wilder beat Fury ( which he didn`t and won`).

Helenius was there to get beating and make Kownacki looking good.

Sorry, fans, Kownacki is no world beater and he will never be. Struggled with Martin, struggled with past prime Arreola and now got stopped by past prime Helenius? It is not just bad night, it is about levels. Kownacki is the same level as Martin, Washington and others.
