Comments Thread For: McGirt Willing To Help Wilder Prepare: He Can Beat Tyson Fury

Veteran trainer and former world champion Buddy McGirt is willing to help Deontay Wilder prepare for a trilogy fight with Tyson Fury. Last month at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Fury stopped Wilder in the seventh round to capture the WBC heavyweight title.

Bud is an excellent trainer as he was a fighter but if Fury fights that way in that shape it's down to only a punches chance for Wilder.

Buddy McGirt tried to save Maxim Dadashev life by stopping the fight vs. Subriel Matias last year. Remember, Deontay said he willing to die for this. Deontay needs to replace Mark Breland, but Buddy McGirt is the same problem.

Wilder wasn’t expecting fury to fight the way he did and fury caught him before wilder could adjust.... that’s all that happened. Wilder will win the rematch because he will be ready for the boxer fury or the attacker fury.

            Translation:

I will try and teach Wilder how to beat Fury by boxing him like Kovalev did against Alvarez in the rematch.

But Kovalev (and Fury) are better boxers than Wilder. That is the problem.

IMO McGirt is a better fit for Wilder than George Foreman.
Wouldn't be a bad idea. Kinda like the first fight when Fury brought in Freddie Roach to help out.

You can’t train glass chin/body. And you can’t make bird legs strong in 6months.
