Comments Thread For: Ruiz: There Needs To Be A New Andy, That's Why I Changed Trainers

Three months after confessing to his sins, Andy Ruiz has finally come to grips with the damage that he caused. The former unified heavyweight titlist insists to have a firm plan for his 2020 campaign, though a future that couldn't come without reliving his past. Ruiz became the first-ever Mexican boxer to claim a piece of the heavyweight crown following a 7th round knockout of England's Anthony Joshua last June, only to return the belts to the wildly popular Brit in a 12-round points loss last December.

What's with the "i'm gonna"? I gonna hire a new trainer, I'm gonna train harder, I'm gonna eat right. Why wait? Hell he could walk into any gym in america and get some training in, couldn't he? He could get a jump rope and work out in the driveway to his house. And he's gonna real soon

Exactly, Andy Ruiz doesn't need a fight date to start training, even if it's just to shed some pounds before training camp starts.

I think he said that much in another i interview that he was in the gym but hasn't picked a trainer yet.

Anywho, if he isn't lying to himself and actually serious he should go with Atlas. Teddy won't play that crap and will hold him accountable, but I don't think Ruiz is that serious

Do we really need a new Andy though? How about just the Andy from the first Joshua fight?

With all that $ he made, I hope he put a lot aside for training.

Can't stand people like him, yea your trainer is to blame because you're being a fat fu** and blame your trainer for eating pizza a day before what was meant to be your most important fight. Change and start from yourself fat boy
