Nobody yet has been able to explain why a loose glove or his fist being in the wrist area would be an advantage.

Anyone who's worn gloves and thrown a punch will tell you how ****** this allegation is. Try hitting a heavy bag wearing gloves the way you think Fury was and see how it feels. And do it near a hospital to save a trip.

There's nothing to debunk. Put on gloves the way you're claiming he did and go hit the bag, then come back here and apologize.

I’ve only seen one sequence of a suspect glove from each of the two fights. So Fury supposedly gained some sort of advantage by throwing a couple of “illegal” punches in all those rounds? C’mon. I have to admit that in the moments in question the glove looks strange, but I simply don’t see any kind of advantage to be gained. I’ve seen Tyson practice on the mitts using a weird flicking motion, much like he did in one of the video clips. No advantage there. And if you believe the open-handed slap he delivers is actually a balled fist in the palm of the glove, think about the delivery. Fury would be punching with the palm side of his knuckles, a very ineffective strike and one that could potentially injure his hand. Add to this the fact that neither Wilder nor his camp has complained, and you get much ado about nothing.

All this stuff goes on to some degree in many, many fights. Fury is far from alone in throwing slaps or punches with the palm side of the hand. Someone posted a couple of pics of Mayweather landing punches that way. It’s not legal, but it is common. Frankly, I don’t see the advantage in it. Besides that, how many times in each of the two fights did Fury throw such punches? I’ve only seen a couple of sequences from the two bouts. People are acting like they’re the reason why Tyson performed the way he did.

I'm talking in general not only Fury. Remember Mayweather's forearm to the throat?? Illegal as hell. Pushing down on an opponents head is common but still illegal no matter who does it.

Sure, dirty tactics are a part of the game. It’s the ref’s job to do something about them. Fury had a Wilder in a headlock several times during the rematch, but the slaps weren’t a common event. Personally, I don’t think too much of a relatively minor infraction, as long as it’s not repeated over and over.
