      Completely forgot about this
He wanted revenge on Usyk for beating him in the amateurs

Imagine if these fans existed earlier when great fighters would literally lose to lesser fighters at a higher frequency because they boxed so much more. Boxing would of never developed as a sport and would be much more akin to homeless bum fights.
Imo past fighters had that killer instinct. Today it's all just an illusion.

I had both fights for GGG 8-4 the first time around and 7-5 the 2nd time. Best case scenario for Canelo in both scenarios was a loss and then a draw.

Canelo has so much talent but he choses to play these ****** ass games.

Canelo is the one making offers like he has a belt, when he doesn't. All that Smith, Saunders get is Money. He doesn't hold a belt at 168 and never did. What does beating Canelo right now do for Saunders or Smith? Just another title defense, except its a career high payday. It's also a high risk title defense as they could lose, so no wonder they're asking "for the moon" as Canelo put it.

Same with Floyd right now. It'd be interesting if fighters started pricing themselves out on purpose, to the point that a Floyd or canelo have no choice but to over pay.

Especially in Floyd's case. McGregor doesn't need Floyd. He can wait another year and do his UFC thing, and Floyd will still be waiting because who else is he gonna fight? Unless he plans on taking actual risks against world level boxers, he needs McGregor or Khabib. They don't need him.
This was a really good post. I had mentioned something similar earlier. The guys know Canelo doesn't want to fight certain guys so its either pay me what I want or fight the more riskier fight that could mess up your long term plans.

I really do hate the games too. Fighters who look for every little advantage imo it hurts their careers. I can’t stand the catch weights, rehydration clauses, waiting for a fighter to get old, etc.

Rockyfielding, way past prime kovalev, James Kirkland, amir Khan, Saunders who's beat noone ever, waiting for ggg to get old, that's challenging yourself? 90 percent of his, 'top wins' were either past prime or he won by controversial decision or both.
