Mesi was lucky to make it out with a win against a cruiser nonetheless.
Not very impressive at all.Comment

That said, I'd pick Wilder to ko Mesi early as it relates to the thread topic.Comment

Mesi went 36-0. His win over Vassily Jirov is more impressive than any win on Wilder’s resume. Mesi also beat Monte Barrett, David Izon, Keith McKnight, Davarryl Williamson, Talmadge Griffis, Robert Davis, Derrick Banks, Bert Cooper and Jorge Luis Gonzales.
I’m not claiming that’s a great resume, it’s just clearly better than Wilder’s resume.Comment

And it is relates to the thread topic because you’re using the Jirov fight to discredit Mesi.

Do you have a link where a neurologist is quoted as saying he was hit in the back of the head? IMO he was hit in the grey area behind the ear which is usually considered legal in boxing. It's a terrible place to get hit but behind the ear does not = back of the head. Maybe it does similar damage though. Either way Mesi still won and didn't suffer any permanent damage but it did basically end his career.Comment

Wilder would’ve stretched Messi, probably caught that body he talks about. This is a terrible thread. Messi’s resume isn’t even 1/8th if Wilders.
His best win was surviving against a blown up cruiser that was beaten down by a shot Michael Moorer.Comment
