Imagine if Canelo fought Golovkin when he was Mandated to do so by the WBC.
And didn’t drop the strap or wait until Golovkin was 35+ before the fight happened

Imagine if Canelo was judged like every other Fighter in the sport , and 1 time in his career didn’t have every judge give him a favourable scorecard. Imagine if his record represented what happend in the ring not the $

Imagine if GGG didn't age 6 years for every one year...

Imagine when the fight was announced GGG was #1 P4P and YOU said GGG KNOCKS Canelo OUT!!!! Ohh Wait! That happened.

One year earlier would not of made much of a difference. Or would you of took EASY TKO then AGAIN???

If he was spoiling us, he would have fought GGG after Cotto, and tried to unify a weight class and not playing Canelo-weight hopscotch
        Canelo beat Cotto 11-2015
Canelo signed to fight GGG 12-2016

        Canelo fights GGG 9-2017

        1 GGG Year = 8 REAL years.

Fury was bought in the first fight. But Arum's presence prevented the second fight from being rigged for Wilder or a fake draw. Haymon now 1-14 vs Arum with the one win being a suspect Floyd decision over Pac which was a judge fix.

Agree Shadow , age makes no difference at all , I don’t know why I even brought it up

Name the 35 year old active fighters who win or at the very least compete near the top level

I can think of Pac , Golovkin, Rigo And To some extent Lara , Donaire & Pascal , 4/6!of those names are going into the HOF and were once considered top 5 P4P

Nonito & Pascal were being used as Known scalps and all but written off until they pulled off some upsets

pure coincidence that every Future HOF Canelo has fought was 35+ when he fought them ,

boxing is exclusively a young mans game like clockwork, If a fighter can even make it to 35 , they are almost always washed up or on being used as a scalp for their previous accomplishments

HW Fighters May be able to juice a exTra year or two before the inevitability of Father Time catches up and Modern Training and Nutrition May make the decline a little less noticeable
, if they have a style that allows them to age well ( which Golovkin doesn’t have ) every single fighter is a below their prime .

Never had , considered or stated that Golovkin was #1 P4P

Imagine if you didn’t always go Stephen King with the stories and just make up random sh.it when replying

I agree and I said in a previous post that ideally the first Canelo-GGG fight would have happened on Cinco De Mayo in 2016, which would have been right after Miguel Cotto.
