BECAUSE after 24 rounds, 1 fight was a draw and the other a majority decision. Sounds like its unsettled to me. The problem now is Golo is damn near 40. Saul waited him out and the trilogy has lost most of its luster. Shouldve ran it back, at the latest, last year.

Can he at least beat someone credible before we see a 3rd fight. Canelo is doing all of the heavy lifting

the DIFFERENCE is MAJORITY of real boxing fans, analysts and commentators saw Fury winning the 1st fight, handily. They second fight went 7 rounds where Wilder didnt win a single one, was dominated, beaten from pillar to post and was stopped. THATS A HUGE difference from Saul/Golo going 24 rounds, no kd's and no DOMINATION. Heavy lifting? Golo fought and beat Jacobs 1st. Fought and beat Dervy ( i thought it was a draw, personally AND Saul couldve fought him 1st). BUT, Fighting
JCC jr, Khan, Beefy, Fielding and a FADED Kova is NOT heavy lifting.

Canelo does not want another Golovkin fight, DAZN wants that fight and is spending many more millions to make it happen. The question is why this pathological obsession with a 3rd Golovkin fight?

Subscribers. Plus a 3rd Canelo fight was probably the only reason Golovkin signed with DAZN so DAZN is trying their best to make it happen. If they can't come through for GGG then other top fighters will be reluctant to sign with them in the future.

DAZN has a problem going forward they are guaranteeing 35M for Canelo no matter who he fights because he drives the subscribers but for his opponents only so much money. And the amount for his opponents asking price has become inflated. When Dervy was being discussed DAZN was forcing Canelo to pay the additional money from his own purse to pay Dervy. ...DAZN is literally bidding against themselves continuing to set precedent for how much B side fighters demand.

I would not be surprised at all if "new incentives" was an opt-out. As much as Canelo hates doing the promotional tour he has to see what is going on with Wilder/fury with superbowl ads and the sports world paying attention. He knows how hard fights are to make when fighters require hard cash upfront because there is no PPV upside.

DAZN can pump and dump this. They get an uptick in subscribers that think they will get 3 or 4 Canelo fights for 100. Go on a fundraising tour after this deal is announced. Skipper cashes out his options and then they don't need to worry about paying 15 million for C sides going forward.
