  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Ruiz, On Point, Would Absoutely Brutalize Deontay Wilder

FRISCO, Texas If the version of Andy Ruiz Jr. that upset Anthony Joshua showed up to fight Deontay Wilder, Eddie Hearn envisions something similar happening to Wilder. According to Joshua's promoter, a focused, at least reasonably conditioned Ruiz would definitively defeat Wilder because he persistently applies pressure. Wilder didn't handle that tactic well when he fought Tyson Fury in a rematch Wilder lost by seventh-round technical knockout February 22 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Maybe, Ruiz has a great chin but I don’t know if he walks through Wilder like he did Joshua.

No he would not. Just because he brutalized aj doesnt mean he would wilder. Ruiz is no fury. Ruiz doesnt use his weight effectively to lean or clinch or fight on the inside etc

Well Damn. That's saying something, because he only has to be half on point to brutalize AJ.

Hearn & Femi attempting to dine out on Fury's performance.

Wilder would put Ruiz & AJ to sleep on the same night.

I don't get it.... because Fury beat Wilder now everybody can? That literally makes no sense. Fury is 6ft 9in and 270+ pounds and fought to his plan to perfection. That doesn't mean every other heavyweight does the same thing.

Wilders only loss comes to the only man who taller than wilder in the division... its hilarious seeing these 6ft 1 to 6ft 5 idiots thinking they can replicate 6ft 9 furys performance. These dudes aren't even tall enough to wrap wilder up. It's like yall tryna take away from Furys victory. Andy ruiz is in the same shape as the chiefs coach Andy reid.
