Cotto was one of my favorite fighters before the first fight he was a complete fighter with great power . The damage he took from that scumbag loser he was never the same even though he had a HOF career . I always wonder what if but that’s not how it works . Shame but he got his revenge!

Id compare that fight to Mayorga-Spinks in a sense that everybody from the judges, doctors, and the fans were against one fighter.

Margarito-Cotto 2 were wrong in so many way. Margarito got done dirty.

Cotto was doing good early in the fight but I think Margarito was getting to him. Cotto was fortunate to have had the fight in his backyard and the fight stopped. Margarito was answering all the questions correctly, there was no reason for them to have stopped it. Imagine if the eye wasn't a problem, what would be the reason for stopping it, the fight would've ended same as the first. Maybe if Margarito had a bum knee like Foreman and Martinez, then maybe Cotto would've been able to stop him properly rather than get saved by the ref.

Plaster hands made cotto bleed from his eyes , nose , mouth and ears first fight . Amazing he came back from such a savage beating with two casts . Second fight his eye was falling out I wish it wasn’t stopped so cotto could damage him done more .

The picture is right there. For someone who went into the second fight under a huge microscope while getting his hands wrapped, he sure marked up Cotto pretty damn good. Shows me that he beat Cotto cleanly the first time.
