Can Eddie Hearn turn Haney into a superstar?

I've been watching Haney closely and it seems Hearn promised both Haney and his dad that he can turn him into a superstar. And he used AJ's career success as his selling point.

However, what most don't know is that Hearn had big profile fighters before Josh and he never turned any of them into a star (superstar is a stretch). And after Josh, he has had a lot of big profile fighters and none of them is a star.

So I'm going with my inclination that fighters always make the promoter and not the other way around. I had the same sentiments about Mayweather and Canelo. Ditto AJ.

I believe for Haney to become a superstar, he has to make himself one. Hearn can't make him a superstar. He'd help with resources but that's where it ends

Consistently fighting big fights make you a superstar. Not a big mouth promoter.

If Haney gets the tank, loma, Garcia, Lopez, Broner type fights. He can become a superstar.

Preach. People give too much credit to Hearn's big mouth.

The only thing Hearn has achieved with his big mouth is turn himself into a star. He's the Puff Daddy of boxing.

The type of opponents you face has a lot to do with becoming a star. So which big name opponent or top name can Haney face to become a star? Looks like he is being frozen out a bit with the TR 135 pounders and Arum even mentioned that Haney signed with the wrong guy if he wanted Lomachenko/Lopez. But if Haney continues to develop and becomes a top P4P fighter, eventually he can break through as he will get the fights he needs at 140 or 147. You have some fighters like Ryan Garcia/Tank Davis that become big names on their own, but that's pretty rare.

Nobody can turn Haney into a star. Not everybody can be stars and Haney doesnt have that kind of spark.

Not to be an ass but have you guys seen that nose? You have to have some kind of looks to be a complete package star. Either that, you or just gotta have mad ability to excite people and he dont got that either.

Guys like Haney, Davis, and Stevenson are not star materials.

His profile has definitely gotten much larger since signing with Matchroom.

But he's got a long way to go.

He has star quality and has been on social media for almost a decade with a very loyal fan base despite being very young.

He just needs to take tough fights and win in his style. And his profile will go through the roof. But hoping a promoter would make a draw won’t cut it because Hearn doesn’t have that type of cache.

Haney might need to move to 140 and dominate there since DAZN can easily get him good opponents there. Or probably see if DAZN can force the Garcia fight early.

Hearn is a clown. Just bankrolls his way into talent and tries to take on their accomplishments as his own. Does anyone really think that AJ wouldn't be successful if he was with Warren, Hennesy or any other promoter? when you got it, you got it.

Hearn is a two bit conman with a rich daddy is all.

DZ isn't a big enough platform to become a superstar tbh. Not enough eyes will be on him and he'll struggle to get any fights with PBC guys.

DZ is better for guys who're already superstars.

Eddie Hearn had Haney fighting on a YouTubers undercard. Haney is out here as a champion begging Ryan Garcia for a fight. Not a good look. He will surely be the B side if they ever start negotiations.
