Will Internet Trolling & Conspiracy Theories Ruin Wilder/Fury Legacy?

The current era is unique in that it enables anyone and everyone with access to an internet connection to post commentary and opinion as they see fit.

This is very good, but it can also start misinformation snowballs.

I really enjoyed both Wilder - Fury fights.
However, I am now becoming concerned that internet trolling of Wilder’s suit comments by gloating Brits, and allegations of weighted gloves by hyper-political Black Nationalist elements will undoubtedly cast a pall over what was a great (and as far as I can tell, clean) fight for the ages.

We saw a brilliant puncher (Wilder) fight his heart out and ultimately lose this time to the best tactician in the heavyweight division (Fury).

Why can’t we just leave it at that?

I think most people are not even aware of all this stuff. If you spend a lot of time on social-media or online it can come across like the entire world is on there and that is the common opinion...... it's not.

Most people just congratulated Fury on another historic win abroad and left it there..... because you are on boxing forums and likely Twitter etc you are just more acutely aware of the hyper-exaggerated opinions that are out there.

People don't really care about what they don't know, for example its mostly boxing fans that know about some of the things that you are saying. Most casual just saw a as*whooping and are talking about that this week. We boxing fans are the ones going deeper into this stuffs. At the end of the day this isn't going to be the first or last time events like this would gather threads, post or comments.

Wait until someone like Loma loses to Lopez or if Pulev beats Joshua or if Canelo or GGG loses etc This would happen again, I have been around boxing long enough to know this.

I remember when Prince Naz lost, he didn't make any excuses, he took his as*whooping and said he would come back (Never really did), when you have an ego the size of texas then people would wait for you to fall and laugh at you.

Nah, nobody in the mainstream are talking/promoting these conspiracy theories.

Anyone with an IQ over 10 knows it's just a bunch of butthurt Wildertards talking utter nonsense.

Well Wilder himself was gloating when AJ lost, kicking a man whilst he was down and then made up a load of dumb excuses for his own loss.

          He's done it to himself.
