We are supposed to be fiercely patriotic and stand for the flag and the playing of the national anthem etc. But when it comes to supporting a black American over a white man from another country that all goes out the window for some people.

These are the hard truths and hypocrisy that many don't want to admit.

Maybe if they identify as American instead of African American, they'd be worth supporting.

You guys need to stop with the double standard stuff. You simply can’t compare real racism, the kind that we’ve seen in America for hundreds of years, with comments that a fighter may or may not make.

Of course if someone white made comments it would be taken differently. That is because white people, but particularly white men, occupy positions of power and access that others don’t. Further, there is a history of racism that other groups don’t have.

We can’t just pretend that all races occupy an equal place in American society. We also need to stop pretending that every group that looks to help people of color can be equated to the white racist organizations that have actively participated in murder and violence.

Its definitely wrong for bhop to have said that but that doesn’t make him the equivalent of a **** or klansman when he said it.
Your post is nothing but bull****, making excuses for Black behavior that you claim to find abhorrent from other races.

Be true to yourself and just own your racism.

No I think anyone that says racist stuffs are racist. The issue with someone like you is your post above. Assuming things in your head.

This was taken way out of context.

He was asked to deliver an impromptu monologue at the end of his interview. He asked if Wilder was the last great black hope, clarifying that traditionally the heavyweight division has been ruled by Black Americans from the south, he was simply asking is this the end of that reign.

Dude is 100 years old, it wouldn’t surprise me if he was racist (grew up in a different time) but this wasn’t it.

Nobody cares that Wilder is black or Fury is white.

People are happy see a guy got TKOd after saying he wanted to "take a body" multiple times, has made it his personal agenda to sensationalize racism, and talks smack...literally said "Fury knows hes not coming for the KO...He knows that's silly/******".

Everyone likes to see Arrogance halted. The show with a White character, Breaking Bad, is a Top 3 show EVER and it was about a white man becoming addicted to power, developing arrogant tendencies, and getting killed as a result.

People paid money $$ to see Floyd lose bc he was arrogant outside the ring. Nobody cared if Chad Dawson, Andre Ward, Tim Bradley, etc. won or lost.

Racism is still alive esp in the US but some people use racism to their advantage - like Floyd - and market it.

Obviously Merchant cares if Wilder is black or white.

That's why he called him the Great Black Hope.

You refuse to meet him halfway and admit to nothing.

But yall cry over comments then post milk bottles when he brings up "REAL RACISM" not prejudice comments from a old boxer who everyone thinks should Shut up half the time.

Tell me if you think this true or u agree.

The racial tension or defensiveness has gotten so bad, anti-blacks om here will find and milk any percieved racisim or prejudice towards whites, but turn around and ignore, disregard the most blantant racist/prejudice things towards blacks then accuse of them of crying or playing victims.... The exact same thing they do even tho its almost always somthing small.

Its certain things you just can do or say to women seeing the fact that women didnt always have rights and still have to deal with bs even now. Its alot better, but its not perfect and anybody saying it is, is lying.

Sooooo whats so hard about agreeing in any aspect the same goes for blacks. Yes there is alot of cry wolf going on same goes for women. But does that give the right to disregard the real problems they might go through just because you don't understand it or went through it. Back to women, i could never put myself in a woman's shoes but who am i to say their problems don't exist? But turn around grasp for straws when it comes to every pereceived prejudice towards men....

                    • Race always come first in America which is why a lot of black fighters don't buy into that patriotic bull****.
