I define a robbery as one fighter clearly and decisively winning 8 rds or more or in my eyes without question should have been 4 points up or more on the cards yet still did not get the decision.
I think that is a fair standard which I have gone by for years before I start claiming robbery.
To me it is a 'robbery' when I can't see the result that happened...Ward-Kov 1, Hooker-Perez that same night, etc.
I guess reasonable people can differ however as to what constitutes a robbery...for one, I can't say Fury-Wilder 1 was a robbery..it was reasonable to get Wilder 5 rounds imho.
A big problem that adds to the uproar though is when judges come out with cards way out of line, even if it is reasonable that the fighter won...almost always those cards are in favor of the A-side fighter...so it just adds fuel to the fire that there was a 'robbery'...basically another way of saying 'this guy never had a chance'.
Everyone cries about robberies and proclaims they know how to score....at the same time.....all the time.
often, on this site... they immediately proceed to prove that they do not
2 posters in particular come to mind
they started the sentence with... "everyone knows how to score a fight..."... and they finished the sentence proving beyond doubt that they have no idea whatsoever how to score a professional boxing match
MOST casual fans who insist they know how to score a fight, completely ignore 3/4 of the official scoring criteria... MANY fans ignore 4/4 of the official criteria and use volume/activity
this place is literally a cesspool of ******ity... never seen anything like it
never seen anyone proclaim themselves to be sooooo high in knowledge that they can happily over-rule a veteran professional... but then immediately prove that they have no idea what they are talking about
Ironic how turds claim Alvarez-Gol0vCúnt was a robbery yet not Marquez vs Pacquiao 3, same people who blame African Americans & Latinos for this country's problems

there is literally no other sport like ours LMAO
Funny enough, I have never seen either one of you post a scorecard from a fight...just odd.
Btw...all scoring criteria matter in boxing...defense etc are important.
But the only thing you ACTIVELY score is the punches that land and their effectiveness...that people on a boxing forum don't understand this is really sad.
But it is what it is! You guys are good fans and the sport needs fans too!!
