Educate me on Julio Cesar Chavez Sr

He's regarded as an All Time Great by many.

Can someone tell me what his best victories were and why? Does he hold any victories over other ATG's?

Using his resume, how would you argue he beats these fighters..

    Duran
    Mayweather
    Mosley

That's great and all, but I'm asking WHY you feel that way. There has to be something he has or hasn't done to make you feel he can't beat Duran but can beat Mayweather and Mosley. You just gave me a prediction with nothing behind it.

For example, I can say I think Duran would be Chavez simply because he's beaten bigger better men. That doesn't make it true, but there's a reason behind that pick. Mind giving me the reasons behind yours?

Great fighter. People like to complain about the Whitaker decision but it's not like anybody took an L on their resume that night so I don't see what the big deal. A rematch would have definitely cleared things up but Whitaker had other plans.

Castillo was just a sparring partner to Chavez look what he did to Mayweather and the rematch was no blow out Chavez was far greater than Castillo.Mosley at 135was a poor mans version of Meldrick Taylor and we know how that played out . Mosley started juicing at 147 to beat Delahoya even though he lost that 2nd fight . A juiced up Mosley was strong at 147 Chavez couldn’t fight at 147 as we seen in the Whitaker fight . Whitaker was no push over he beats Mayweather and Mosley at any weight. Duran is to strong look at what he did to Sugar Ray who’s better than all you mentioned

The big deal is that Whitaker schooled Chavez and didn't get the win he deserved.

You wont get a real break down because most people here arent old enough and werent watching boxing then.

If you were 20 when Sr was fighting Taylor then you would be 50 today. I think the average age of posters would be well under 50.

If you arent from that era then its harder to rate fighters, you can watch them on a fight by fight basis but you dont have the same understanding of the landscape of the weight classes if you arent taking it all in real time.
