That is a fair point but just mean visually it doesn't appear very spectacular other than that big KD. It's like he does JUST enough to win and then is satisfied to coast along.

Yeah, very frustrating because Mikey would be so much better if he came out of second gear more. Garcia fights at the same pace regardless if he's winning, losing, or the fight is on the line.

Sure Mikey had power to hurt Vargas, but let's be clear, Vargas out boxed Mikey. Even when Vargas was hurt, Mikey could stop him from landing perfectly clean shots.

To be honest, I don't really follow Mikey and tonight I wasn't impressed at all. I saw nothing great and I know it's again probably because he's finally reached a weight division that checks him at the contender level and flat out annihilates him at the championship level.

best card for vargas is 8-4 minus KD, best card you could give garcia is 6-6 + knockdown.
Yea. There were many rounds Garcia just gave away. Noticeably the 6th. He had Vargas hurt bad in the 5th then just gave away the 6th round as the commentators tried to convince us that he was giving Vargas a beatdown when he wasn’t even throwing punches.

I could definitely see Mikey winning this, I just don’t age l agree with 116-111. The fight was much closer than that.

Mikey controlled the fight and he landed the better punches

just like Canelo did in the Golovkin rematch

                nothing to see here

Dont have a problem with Mikey getting the nod, but the margins on two of those scorecards seemed pretty wide.

One of those weird ones. Mikey got hit a lot but he was never wobbled like Vargas was. Mikey clearly didn’t take as much damage looking at his face and how we wasent the one in fear of getting KOd. It coulda been a draw at most. I mean even if Mikey got hit more in a round, you have to take in account that he was still hurting Vargas worse even if he landed less. If it was all relative Mikey would have been dropped and swollen up.
