Official: Arum: Team Wilder exercised rematch clause last night

    Part 3 is on!!!

Bob Arum has declared that Deontay Wilder's team officially exercised their contractual clause for a trilogy with Tyson Fury last night. He said Fury vs Wilder III will take place in mid-July and they're open to a possible Anthony Joshua fight at the end of 2020.

Wilder and his team showing their incompetence yet again

Either they just want to get this quick payday out of the way

or they are dumb enough to not buy themselves free time to prepare to actually try and win.

Anyone who aims to win another rematch would wait till the last week then draw the clause.

I see him pulling out with injury, or maybe fury does so wilder can save face.

Big respect to Wilder for facing his hardest opponent for a third time.

He had to take the rematch whether he wanted to or not. The way he's spoken down the years about other fighters ducking and the best fighting the best has actually forced himself into a corner. He was in an impossible situation. Could you imagine him going back to fighting nobodies in Alabama? It was rematch or retirement.

Damn, "The Bronze Bomber" is serious. He really does want this fight badly. He is motivated and determined to get his title back. So much for not exercising his rematch clause. This is guy is all business now.

The rematch has to happen before July 18th apparently, so it’s not like they can buy much time anyway

                Yeah

The rematch has to happen by mid July. So if Wilder agrees then pulls out with injury, he can save face and there will be obligation from either side to go through with it after July. They can just stretch the fake injury out until after the date it’s meant to happen by..

Been saying since last week he will take the rematch and pull out

But who knows. No PBC fighter is in like for a HW title shot. So maybe he needs to take it and try to get a title back, otherwise they’re dead in the HW department.

True. I might clown him but he's a warrior, no doubt.

Damn straight. Especially when he probably has around a 10-15% chance of winning.
