I was keen on Aj coming up. Then in 18 in a Johnny Nelson interview on sky Aj said "i won't be rushed into the Wilder fight" when asked when Aj said "19 20 21" Then Hearn said 2020. Funny how that's all now coming true.
It was they're plan all along. Fighting the minimum for the maximum whilst misdirecting, name dropping Wilder for the casuals & learning on the job. Hearn even said Wilder might loose by then.

The problem for them now is that a dedicated behemoth in Fury stands in they're way. I would rather Aj get's his 2 mandatories in first. I want Aj in with Usyk. 180 day's wasnt it?

With Aj fighting in June & only fighting every 6-9 months. Christmas or spring would be my guess for undesputed.

Then having achieved everything he ever dreamed of Fury retires content.
Then watch the pretenders buy all the belts, avoiding each other with politics all over again.

Wilder HAS to do the rematch, if his intention is to continue fighting and doing so in fights that'd have some manner of significance about them, fights that'll actually matter for the reasons fighters who have been at the top*need them to matter, have purpose, etc. Whether or not forcing the trilogy ends up as being a good choice or not isn't my purpose in writing this.
I just think that he has to get that belt back because, once again, if it is truly his intention is to continue fighting, without an alphabet soup title/belt, how likely is he to continue getting fights that matter? He's a high risk low reward kind of fighter and, even though his defensive skills are so bad, consisting near solely on the hope opponents are so afraid of the right hand that they won't mount offensive attacks, I still can't/don't see many rushing to put their fighters into fights with him of the sort that would make good money, doing so solely for the reason of getting Deontay Wilder's name on your resume. Also, if you lose to Deontay Wilder now the narrative is that you really suck, and if you win, the narrative will be that it really wasn't that big of a win because Deontay Wilder sucks.

*meaning with a belt and having made good paydays, that is the sort of "been to the top" I'm referring to in that statement, I am not debating the purses of fights/deals he didn't take. That is a whole different, other, not the same kettle of fish

At least we knew that Fury and Wilder were gonna rematch ahead of time. I'm glad we don't have to sit thru two freaking tune up fights. I'm just hoping AJ doesn't lose because I don't want to see fury vs Pulev for all the marbles.... Just I don't lol If Wilder somehow wins I don't want to see a fourth installment like the Manny vs Marquez series lol

Lol at the comments in this thread. I've never known such hate for a promoter and a fighter. It's real pure hatred, you guys have lost the plot its very funny to see.

But you may as well be complimenting them, you don't get rabid crazies like this hating this hard unless somebody is doing something right cuz it makes them feel they need to verbally tear it down because it's not American or even worse not PBC.

I know they see Hearn as a threat to the PBC and Joshua a threat to Wilder and his belt😂 well when he had that belt. Its just Boxing boys and girls, it's not our fault you havnt got a good heavyweight.

If Fury gets by Wilder in the third instalment , we will see another few years of back and forth between those two
Fight hasn’t happened until now , not so sure Fury will stick around long enough for the shenanigans
Hey , unless we get some of that big coin flowing from the Saudi’s
Agree. Eddie has no intention of creating this fight.

AJ been exposed as fragile and limited by fat Mexican, fury been exposed as brilliant, against hardest puncher in division.

Would love to see this fight, but it won't happen as Eddie knows it's a death sentence for AJ.

Eddie Eddie Eddie. Unless the winner is the WBO mando then he is just blowing hot air. Hearn was the one saying the Wilder/Fury fight was not going to come off in the first place. It easily overshadowed anything AJ was doing. Shut it Hearn

AJ would swoon looking up at Fury. AJs ego is too frail, he feared Wilder, now he's terrified. Hearn doing all the talking.

That sir , is exactly my thinking
It will take extravagant money for it to happen cause it will be his last rodeo

Don Corleone , I know it’s big bad Eddie doing the talk
AJ hasn’t gotten permission yet or ever lol
