did everyone forget when wilder ducked joshua and turned down 100 million and made 65 at best instead? you are trying to piece together some form of defense out of scraps and by revising history. wilder was a nobody making a million a fight and he turned down 12 million dollars. that doesnt sound very good. for example charles martin made 6 million dollars to fight joshua so 12 million is a lot more right? when you compare it to the purses joshua is making now obviously it seems pretty low but now is different than then. for example just recently wilder was offered 100 million.

Joshua fighting on ESPN wouldn't be the problem. The problem would be if Top Rank won the purse bid and put the fight on BT.

Well 35% is what ibf mandatory challengers are entitled to no matter who they are fighting . So this isnt surprising hes just lucky its against a cash cow .

You say that but but a fight against Joshua earns stacks more $$$ than a fight against another opponent for the belt. So even if Joshua offered 15% he probably earns a lot more money - and money talks.

I guess you forgot the entire 2018

FACT: they had Wilder on the hook for $15m... but they refused to supply basic contractual requirements, and then they refused to sign the contract

and btw, Wilder did not refuse the DAZN offer over money

he refused the DAZN offer because Hearn and Skipper were behaving dishonestly

FACT: it is highly unlikely that the team who shat the bed back when they had Wilder on the hook for $15m... were going to suddenly produce an offer that was better for Wilder

if they will not open the books, and they will not guarantee a Joshua fight next... then there is no offer to fight Joshua, just a long term commitment to DAZN

Fury erasing Wilder from AJ's list of commitments did not erase what happened in 2018... no matter how badly you fanboys need to pretend that was all just a bad dream... it happened!

Lewis, Haye, Bellew, Khan, Froch, Warren... all the brits admit that AJ ducked that fight

why do you NEEEEED to pretend that never happened... ?

why is it sooooo important to you... ?

Had Wilder accepted the deal, he would have stabbed his network partners in the back, fought Breazeale on DAZN with nobody watching, the major networks would have refused to show highlights, and still not have gotten to fight Joshua since Joshua lost his interim fight.

Wilder's decision, to fight Breazeale on Showtime for slightly less, and continue to negotiate the Joshua fight, was the correct decision. Joshua ended up losing, the Breazeale knockout went viral, and Wilder ended up in a way better spot than he would have been in had he taken the DAZN deal.

Wilder never turned down $100 million to fight Joshua. He turned down $20 million to fight Breazeale. You guys just can't stop trolling.

This is close to my understanding of things aswell. OF COURSE Wilder wasn't about to up and leave his contract to jump on board with Hearn, with less than full-clad guarantees that the Joshua fight would occur. In the end, it looks like Wilder made the right moves, since Wilder and Fury were being ranked #1 and #2 by many for a while, and even now AJ looks like a bit of a spare part. The biggest action in the HW division for many years last weekend... and AJ is nowhere to be heard or seen
