As lopsided as the fight was, I would not have stopped the fight. Wilder seemed a little bit more lively at the start of the round of the stoppage. Even though he was cornered and taking punches, he threw a punch right at the stoppage. I would've liked to see if he was on his way to getting his legs back and a second wind. Had he got dropped again, I would have been ok with a stoppage. Only Wilder's corner knows exactly what was going on in that corner, but I believe the fight was stopped prematurely.

Kenny Bayless is always on the verge of stopping a fight, lol. He should be named, Kenny "The I Can't wait to stop a fight referee" Bayless. I'm so glad he wasn't the referee of Gatti VS Ward I & Castillo VS Corrales I.

The fight was definitely stopped prematurely.
