I mean I rooted for him ever since the Harding knockout, which was just awesome. I'm kinda pissed that he chose Hollywood over boxing though. He just wants money and doesn't care about his legacy. Hopkins would have beat him anyway, but Tarver basically cashed out against him and probably won't even fight anymore.

he did look good in his fights, but when he got to the harder fights he went 1 and 1 againts glen, lost to b-hop, and let roy reach 12 rounds. he looked good againts lesser opp. but that griffen fight has to be one of his best performances againts a good fighter,(besides 2nd roy fight.

Tarver beat Jones up three times and won two of them, which is more than enough for me since Tarver is one of my favorites and Roy is one of my least favorites. I'll say it again Jones-Tarver II was my second favorite moment in boxing behind only Corrales stopping Castillo.

he beat Roy up in the first fight. look at Roy's face after the fight and tell me he wasn't beat up. he might have won, but he got beat up. the second fight was over too fast, but Roy got his ass handed to him. the third fight Tarver beat the **** out of Roy in the 11th round

Roy had some marks on his face, but was also swelling on the back of his head from rabbit punches.
He won that fight, but took more punihment then he ever has.
Second fight, lucky/perfect shot, whatever you want to call it, but he didnt get beat up, it was one shot out of nowhere.
Third fight ****** and they were both tenative as hell.
And yes, Tarver beat him up in one round, but Roy beat Tarver up in one of those rounds too.

Yeah I guess you always judge fights on swelling or small marks on someones face. Guess that means that Corrales got his ass kicked by Castillo in fight 1 right? I mean I'm just using DiegoFuego logic here.

I'd say the first fight was relatively even given the fact that Tarver couldn't put what was essentially a dead man in front of him away.

I know you're a Tarver fan, fine, whatever. But get a reality check. Tarver "kicked his ass in the 11"? Yeah okay. Was that before or after he landed that hook on Roy, shook him, and then completely gassed out and RAN SCARED FROM HIM FOR THE REST OF THE ROUND. Yeah, he rand scared, from a guy who was out on his feet.

And if you're going to bring up that stellar 11th round, as your only reasoning as to why Roy 'got his ass kicked in that third fight' I'll bring up the fifth Round, where a shot gunshy Roy Jones handed Tarver his ass.

These kinds of games are fun but worthless. Tarver handed Roy his ass in the second fight. 1 punch KO, lucky or not.
