You fight the guy who isn't pricing himself out the fight. He already gave saunders and Smith offers both turned multiple times their career payday. You can't force somebody to accept the fight. Somebody is going to get rich and yup it might be Lemuiex and if you upset about it blame Hearn and his 2 fighters who asked for more then they worth. Let them fight each other for a fraction or somebody else and pray they don't lose because one of them should of lost his last fight and the other needed a 11th round stoppage to avoid lossing his last fight.

I thought maybe there would be no fight made, like last year. GBP always low balls everyone, claims they have multiple unnamed options and will move on. If a fight is made it’s no surprise it’s between the first two guys mentioned, will just cost them more. Yeah there’s lots of boxers but only so many managers and promoters. So everyone links arms and sings protest songs until the money gets driven up. It’s how it’s always worked. GBP can tell us why an opponent isn’t worth the money then tell us why we need to pay to see it at full price. It’s like political candidates trashing each other and their policies, then when one of them gets the nomination, they tell everyone how we need to vote for them. Still at this point Nelo doesn’t need much time to promote anything, this drama is all part of it.

That's GBP's move - they learned from Top Rank and the Serpent Arum - low ball and then go in-house. Canelo will probably end up fighting the Canadian-Deontay Wilder Lemieux whom BJJ humiliated. DAZN contract has canelo guaranteed 35M every time out and if saunders or Smith refuses to accept 6M then he won't get killed for fighting someone else. These 2 euro fighters that Americans don't know, don't care about and neither can fill large arenas even in their home country. DAZN and Hearn know they are not US draws which is why they fighting on undercards of YouTubers. But they want more money? They are not getting Jacobs and Kovalev money. They don't even have the proven track record selling fights in the us like Jacobs and Kovalev had. Sounds like both realize they over played their hand and are dropping the price. Then what happened last year when everyone was pricing themselves out and Nelo ended missing his fight date? He ended up fighting Kovalev anyway and paying a pretty penny. Did they end up overpaying? Kovalev got what 11-12 million? Jacobs 10 million? GBP said last week they’d move on if a deal wasent reached and they had multiple other opponents lined up. So why are they still in negotiations with BJS and Smith now? Canelo has guaranteed money but u think DAZN and the fans want to pay to see him fight sum short money fighter?!! How do u sell that? We all know the fighters that turned down offers so sum no name comes in and ends up getting overpaid even more relatively to what they earned prior? Cause Oscar always brings that up. Who are these fighters that are gonna swoop in and make everyone happy? What precedent do u have for this? Boxers always hold out and usually it works out. Purses have only kept going up. The precedent has always been that the opponent gets overpaid vs the cash cow. It takes two to tango, the champ needs opponents. Last year the date was moved because canelo wanted Kovalev and DAZN tried to force him to fight GGG. Canelo told them ok then I'm not fighting in Sept moved the date he did that DAZN didn't want that. And after he did it got exactly the fight he wanted. DAZN isn't doing that again because they got hurt financially while Canelo got paid the same. Jacobs pay is a problem golden boy didn't give him that amount DAZN did. Hearn and DAZN signed him to a multi fight deal so his purse is inflated because of that but they set a precedent by overpaying for Jacobs forcing all future canelo opponents to ask for the same money. But like all busineses markets change and I think that's what you seeing. DAZN doesn't want to pay that money they said it at the Kovalev press conference they not going to be paying inflated prices for fighters anymore. If you aren't stars or drive subscribers. Said we knew we had to over pay to get in sport but we have fighters now and we are going to pay the market rate. Right now these guys asking for DAZN to keep bidding against themselves. No other network would pay Smith and Saunders 6M hell nobody would pay Jacobs and Kovalev 10M. Both guys were making 1M before canelo fights. If canelo fights lemieux I don't think DAZN subscribers is much different compared to say saunders who isn't a big name and known to make stinker fights. Lemieux will fight for the money available and will at least be entertaining for however long it goes and i think there are other fighters like a Ramirez or a name we don't know about who will take the money on the table and bring the same subscribers. Canelo is the one driving the subscribers anyway. Fight anyone in May when fight GGG or another big name in Sept.

If they already rich and the money don't matter then retire and stop begging Canelo for money. I don't think either guy has millions to spare in their bank accounts. But if you think 5M added to your bank account to set you and family after you are gone makes no difference then 500K in your account I don't know what to tell you lol

But they obviously do because asking for more money this ain't about love of the sport if it was then take the fight to prove you are the best canelo is #1 on most p4p lists. So let canelo give the money to someone else who will take the fight and they can live with all those imaginary millions in their bank account.
