how come they barely show wilder's side in between rounds? and when they would show it, the corner is all quiet. there was no instructions given to wilder at all, instead the trainer is just wiping sweats off wilder's face. what was all that about?

They always did that , they expected Wilder to do all the work . His trainers are very poor quality out of his training camp facility but something tells me there’s a reason for it and that’s because Wilder doesn’t listen and stuck with them because he needs comfort. A guy like Teddy Atlas would probably walk out of the arena with someone like him . Basically they just tell or ask Wilder do you know what you’re doing , a trainer is supposed to instruct the fighter with little details to give him his best chance ,it’s absurd. Ha -
i have never watched a wilder fight before until last saturday.. i was very surprise that the corner didnt say anything at all lol... even in the 3rd round when wilder got dropped, after the round was over, you would think that his corner would be panicking, trying to get thru to him and give him some instructions but they didnt say anything. They always did that , they expected Wilder to do all the work . i understand that wilder doesnt listen but most trainer's would have still be yelling at him trying to get him to snap out of it after a knock down like that. the trainer was just wiping sweats off wilder's face and body. very strange.Comment

What could they possibly tell him? They can't teach him Boxing fundamentals in a minute.
All they could really say at that point is "try to knock him out before youose" but that's been the game plan his whole career.Comment

There was absolutely nothing to say.
It has always been the same game plan, when it fails, there is no plan B.
That was exactly what happened to wilder.Comment
