I think he is a great fighter...PED stuff aside, he is one of the best out there right now.

I just think a lot of his matchmaking has had some smoke and mirrors...and it's not really outlandish to say that lol.

It's just obvious...great fighter but he's had a lot of protection and help in his career.

Just sell Callum Smith as the guy who just got a gift to John Ryder and I'll watch it...try and sell it as Smith being the top SMW anymore and it just becomes a bit of a joke...will probably still watch though for the carnival aspect of it and you never know in boxing...and I already have DAZN.

I would agree but let’s compare it realistically, from Kova’s scale vs 168. That’s 7lbs.

Let’s theorize Kovalev vs Smith. Kova had a 10lb morning rule like the IBF rule. That’s 185 max in the morning of the fight. Kovalev was probably 190lb fight night? 5lbs more since the morning?

So Canelo would worry about Smith being close to Kovalev’s weight? That’s 190-168. That’s 22lb hydration. So could Smith even do 22lb of water at this age?

If Smith is restricted to 178lbs the morning of 168+10lbs, he’s still far from Kovalev’s overall fight night weight. Canelo can move that weight his power.
