Comments Thread For: Roy Jones: Fury is Not All-Time Great, Wilder's Record is Lacking

Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. believes Tyson Fury had begun to break down Deontay Wilder in the very first round. Wilder went down in the third and fifth, before Fury stopped him in the seventh round of their rematch last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I wonder how 2003 Roy would do against Fury?

Maybe he could be elusive enough to win a points decision.

At 6x9, 275. He's the biggest HWC I've ever seen. Looks gravity defying to me, he might as well fly.

I wouldn't bet against Roy doing anything he thought he could do
in his prime. He's the only guy who might have been better than the real Sugar Ray. His comments also make more sense than most pundits once you decode his accent

Roy why you couldn't jus say something nice like Floyd did.

Antonio Tarver Glenn Johnson Danny Green Denis Lebedev Enzo Maccarinelli all finished yo ass

          And Joe absolutely annihilated you.

            Stop wondering.

Fury would hospitalize ANY version of Roy.

I wouldn't favor anyone under 200lbs against Roy from like 97-03

I wouldn't be so sure about that, he'd be hard to catch and would land at will.

Roy cherry picked John Ruiz then fled back to 175 as he wanted NO PARTS of lennox

He's right about Wilder's record. It's very suspect. Protecting a belt won't help you when it is time to step up competition. Fury is a big step up in talent and size compared to who he has been fighting. Wilder has done verry well for himself with his skill set.

If Fury stays clean and dedicated,he will become undisputed. He's a beast.
