My opinion on him is the exact same as it was prior to the fight. I expected him to KO Washington.

I like Gerald, but his defense isn't up to par, and he has terrible recovery time when he does get chinned.

I'll also add to this, that I don't see any special attribute that would give him a chance against a top heavyweight.

I truly wish he proves me wrong, but I see a future gatekeeper in him

Was very surprised how many were picking him to win and just couldn’t grasp it

Yeah Washington was not adjusting at all. Charles kept landing the left with mean intentions, was only a matter of time till he got a KO.

I picked him to KO Washington in that very round so my opinion of him hasn’t changed. He’s a middle of the pack journeyman who might pull off an upset if someone has an off night. Would make for a great Wilder opponent if he comes to his senses and leaves this Fury business alone.

Fair enough. I agree that would be a good comeback fight for Wilder.

Martin is not a bad fighterbut he has some strong events that make him look bad....

The manner he won the title and how he lost it in 2 rounds to Joshua.

He would give anyone outside of the top 3 a tough fight. He’s not a talented fighter but he’s not a bum either, he could be a top 15 guy with a few more wins.

Sounds fair. He was still a sham champion but at least he's putting forth a respectable effort now, it seems.

Martin VS Whyte or Ortiz would be nice. Probably loses but would be fun scraps.

I would love either of those fights. But apparently this fight with Washington made him the IBF mando? That part I'm not crazy about.

Martin was always a good fighter,just Joshuas detractors and Wilder head cases never viewed him as much but he’s a big strong southpaw who is dangerous still.

I realize Gerald Washington is no longer in his prime, but no way was I picking Martin to KO him like that. And he was landing the biggest shots prior to the KO too.

I think he is a decent fighter. Not a world beater but a competent "C+" to "B-" level heavyweight. He would actually be a decent test for Oleksandr Usyk in my opinion

I predicted his win against Washington by a KO; very solid top 20 fighter. Wilder will fight that level of guys when Fury beats his ass again.

I would love to see him against Breazeale and Ajagba.

Martin is nice, but he's awkward and unbalanced. He does not exploit his strength correctly.
