If Wilder was stopped by the ref, would it have been a bad stoppage?

Deas has no idea what he's doing. He's a ****ing local alabama boxing coach who hit the lottery when Wilder walked in his front door. Wilder is too loyal for his own good, and Deas is afraid of losing his meal ticket.Comment

Yea, I don’t recall hearing any constructive advice in the corner. He’s definitely a yes man.Comment

Imagine if eight years ago, Wilder hired an actual professional boxing trainer. Someone who would utilize that right hand, but teach Wilder basic ****ing things like footwork and defense. Robert Garcia could have been a really good match. John David Jackson could have too.Comment

Bayless was looking hard to stopping the fight. He went to Wilder corner (Not sure what was said) many times from the 5th round onwards. We thought he wanted to make sure Wilder was ok or he would stop it. I doubt anyone would have said anything if he did, bleeding from every hole in your head isn’t something to be joking around with.Comment

He was taking a sustained beating, bleeding out of his ear, looked gassed and was having no success.
So no, it would have been a sensible stoppage
It's better the corner did it though to give the LDBC less excuses.Comment
