If no AJ, I would retire if i were Fury. Get a huge sign on with WWE and train grappling in the mean time. Imagine Fury vs. Lesnar at Wrestlemania? Then taking on Lesnar or Mioccic in the UFC? Fury can easily make a quarter of a billion dollars outside of boxing.
I understand the worries of a Father, but Fury has to fight Joshua on UK soil before he retires. I hope Wilder does not exercise the rematch immediately, and allows that fight to happen if Joshua beats Pulev. Now if Joshua loses to Pulev, then he might as well retire!
Fury did it once and blamed it as depression, he can't do that again. He must honor all the contracts. He has to defend the titles to be recognized in future. Please don't let people make fun of you, you may not get this chance again.
So annoying when fighters are in their prime and constantly talk about retiring. I mean I get it you have money you can. But as a fan I want to watch you fight not retire. So his dad should shut up and he should fight AJ and retire in 4 years when hes mid 30s
Always good to go out on top, so I wouldn't begrudge him if he did retire. It's his health on the line; it's his career.
In terms of sealing greatness, though, it would leave a question mark in terms of never having once defended a world championship belt. And it would look like avoiding AJ.
Clearly as fans we want to see the unification bout with Joshua and I personally would love to see that as soon as it can be made.
I would also worry about Fury's mental health if he walked away from the sport. Training for a fight keeps him busy, keeps him focussed, keeps him balanced. I don't want to see him going off the rails again.
That's the problem with the Fury family they only grab a belt then retire after because they are not a real champion, that ***** haven't do 1 defense yet they talk of retiring, that's disgusting.
