Did Bayless do a good job?

    I watched the whole fight.
Do you feel Bayless did a good job? Why or why not?

Personally, I have some mixed feelings. I think he was concerned for Wilder’s health and was ready to stop the fight when it became clear he was getting beat up. But as a boxing fan I appreciate he respected Wilder’s ability to throw the equalizer and gave him plenty of time (I.E. he did not stop it prematurely). HOWEVER, I almost feel like he was giving Wilder breaks and helping him at times, but I wasn’t sure.

Note that I also liked Jack Reiss giving Fury an extra chance; but I wished he just said “walk towards me” instead of that side to side walk which also seemed to give extra time.

I am unbiased and want to see fair refereeing and judging in all fights. Just want to know what other eyes saw with Kenny Bayless’ performance.

    Thoughts?

He did a great job. People will hate because he is black and Wilder is black. He deducted only 1 point from Fury’s constant wrestling and was largely out of the way of the fight despite all the holding from Fury. Fury made it a very tough physical fight that honestly no boxing ref deserves to ref. Herb Dean, UFC ref, was more appropriate for this fight. The struggle Bayless was going through breaking up Fury’s grappling was really obvious. I bet Bayless was so tired and worn out from intervening, that he likely went home and KO’ed in bed immediately.

I think he would be tired too. Fury definitely employed a more Hopkins/Ward type style and it worked. I don’t hate and I think he was mostly fair just wasn’t sure about some of the things; wasn’t sure about the point deduction and no I don’t think it was racist either. Don’t think Reiss was racist either and wasn’t exactly happy he gave Fury a long back-forth walk thing either — you remember?

      Thanks for your quick reply

come on.... Fury dirty tactic was mild one, wlad done more grappling in any of his fight. even wilder himself got away with several blattant rabbit punches.

for me this c+ performance for bayless. should never deduct point from fury.

Thanks Betmen the point deduction gave me a bad taste as well ... otherwise I feel Bayless did a fairly good performance just not his best

Right? Fury was boxing like Hopkins and da homie Andre Ward in there with that grappling. Yet hella people didn’t complain when Ward was grappling Kovey doe
