Good luck selling this. We’ve seen fury beat wilder convincingly twice. Bare the knockdowns the first fight wasn’t close and this just followed the same pattern.
I remember when aj lost wilder said he shouldn’t take the rematch immediately. He should take his own advice, he’s already proven over the span of two fights his only chance of beating fury is getting lucky and catching him cold. I don’t possibly see how he thinks a rematch can go any other way. With aj and Ruiz it was always possible aj would outbox him in the rematch. Wilder has no plan b is he going to outbox fury in the third fight lol. Only wilder fans want to see this because their man has nowhere else to go. Can’t imagine the average man on the street will pay for this again after that one sided beat down.Last edited by Fabes88; 02-24-2020, 02:05 AM.Comment

No, Wilder isn't broken. His confidence and self belief still remains at an all-time high.
Also, he didn't lay down or tap out last night even after being dropped twice. He got up and still managed to finish the fight on his feet. He ate every punch Fury landed and still was standing.
So that tells me that his spirit is more than willing to do it again. In addition, he still has that power too. If he were to follow your blue print, then it could take him several years before ever getting another shot at the WBC heavyweight title again.Comment

The nail in wilders career coffin . Take the rematch and get whooped again or pass on the rematch and look like a biatch
41 fights against plasterers and painter decorators . First proven heavy in shape he faces beats the shid out of him
Hopefully this doesn’t happen to Dubrois but I feel that Joyce is gonna muller himComment

Joshua's likely to be occupied with Pulev for at least another few months, so Fury probably does need a fight in the interim to stay busy. Whether it's the Wilder rematch or Whyte, it should be another big fight and another huge payday, and then hopefully that'll leave time for Joshua v Fury (assuming they both win their fights) some time at the end of the year, although Fury might not be up for three top-level fights in one year.Comment

Can't help but think Finkel and the other suits want this more than Wilder.
Rematch will be good for his bank account but bad for everything else including his health.
I hope he puts his family and his health first. There's not a demand for the trilogy and he needs some time to come to terms and recover from such a defeat.
I wish him well but he's too old and limited to learn how to box (elite level) at this stage and Fury will really build on this style and come back even stronger and more confident.Comment

Can't imagine a 3rd fight would be an easier win for Fury. However, Wilder's equalizer is always gonna make it interesting. Plus, AJ is booked, and there's a rematch clause to honour. If Deontay still thinks he can find a way to win, I'll watch.Comment

Hopefully sane heads will prevail and Wilder will just go back to the drawing board. He won't be able to change his style enough to get close to Fury in a trilogy fight.Comment
