Frank Warren, promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder is likely to be next. Wilder and Fury fought to a controversial twelve round split draw in December 2018. Let the fight sink in for a few days. Wilder will either change his mind or people will step in and change it for him. I hope so at least. It is a worry of mine that he is surrounded by yes men who are afraid to criticize him. This would explain the dumb as chit costumes, awful style and his corner talking about letting the fight continue. Got to fire everyone and start over for the last couple fights which should be against anyone who isn’t Fury.

It makes sense for him to fight Fury again straight away.
To wait for the AJ Fury winner would take almost 2 years because AJ has 2 mandatories before he can even consider unifying against Fury (which means Wilder could fight the winner in late 2021 at the earliest).
A third matchup would still make big dollars and would set Wilder up for life without having to go back to fighting bums.
And off course if he beats Fury a mega showdown with AJ awaits.

They both just made like $25 million? I expect close to that again in their 3rd fight. I would still watch

You knew he was going to want to run it back baby. Ain't no way Wilder was going out the way he did last night without seeking redemption.

He probably viewed the fight back on tv and wants an immediate rematch asap. He needs to hire an additional trainer and add a few more wrinkles to his game because the power is still there.

Also, he should insist on stringent drug testing this time too. Call VADA to sign Tyson Fury up.

Sadly that is the truth of it.

They are business men only interested in money.

I think they felt Fury for the 1st fight was easy due to his problems. Wilder would beat him, have a name on his record and then continue to cherry pick fighters like Ortiz. Make some easy cash and then check out.

Now they are in a situation where if they don't have the rematch and Wilder loses again the pay days are over. They would rather throw him back in there for another beating and milk the last pay day they can get.

The sad thing is Wilder believes they have his best interests at heart. When you see they didn't think the fight should have been stopped even though Wilder was severely injured and pinned in the corner. Pretty much tells you all you need to know about his co managers.
