his team can't exactly say anything else can they.

the only way he should go straight back into the rematch is if he wasn't 100% going in.

rumours of his leg being injured - his balance was clearly off and he was sluggish, probably caused by Fury, but perhaps not.

Joshua had a health issue before Ruiz, got destroyed, came back 100% and with the eight tactics, beat him. That said, i don't think Wilder has the skills to adapt enough.

Honestly he should probably just take the immediate rematch since it’s way too much money to turn down. The odds are he’ll never get another shot at Fury if he turns it down. If he loses a second time to Fury he should just retire since he’ll never get another huge payday like that fighting lesser opponents.

It sure didnt look injured during his 5 mile walk to the locker room, and all the pacing back and forth inside the locker room

I think he should fight Joshua instead. Losing again to Fury aint worth it. Plus Joshua aint as skilled so its a more winnable fight

I think it is a bad idea to fight Fury next it was much worst than the AJ defeat , if was in Widers team i would fight a couple of puddings to get some confidence back then the rematch .

As it currently stands the third fight is not a rubber match. Fury is ahead.

Even if Deontay knocks him out in the third fight it's still not settled.

There will be need for a fourth fight and maybe even a fifth.

Fury has Wilder's recipe, he had perfect chemistry last night. Wilder would be a fool to jump back in the ring with him that soon!

Fighters go through all those grueling training camps, restricting their bodies, absorbing punches in the ring, and risking their life in ring for many years. Wilder owes that to his wife, children, and family to take advantage of the rematch contract clause. Although, Fury would beat Wilder a 3rd time, you never know so you take that fight and not risk losing it forever and the kind of money a 3rd fight with Fury would earn for his family.
Wilder wanted as few losses in his record as possible he wants to be one of histories great champions. So to immediately fight Fury won't be good idea.
Wilder needs to get some decent wins under belt, get confidence back and then maybe fury again oneday.
Wilder can make lots of money he ain't retiring yet.

I don’t think that’s an option. If he passes on the rematch Joshua and Fury will probably fight each other. Wilder will probably get more from the third Fury fight than the whole rest of his career put together if he passes.
