And yeah, the crowd was absolutely silent after one of the late rounds, I think the 8th. But God damn were they loud with those bull**** chants.

man, they were probably louder than the ones after the first Roy vs. Tarver fight when Roy got a majority decision

so do you all see a rematch happening or do you think Forrest and Quartey should just part ways? Quartey-Ouma would be good, and I'd love to see Forrest beat the **** out of Cory Spinks.

I could see 5 rounds a piece at the most generous for Forrest for sure. I can accept that scoring.

I scored it 97-92 or 7 rounds to 3 (minus 1 from Forrest's score), but 2 close rounds I gave to Quartey that I could see just as easily giving to Forrest.

Clearly the scoring was ridiculous. I thought 95-94 scores were for Quartey and especially thought the other one was.

I'd take Spinks over Forrest although neither result would surprise me. Ouma over Quartey rather easily I think, but a great match up. I'd take Ouma over Forrest and Spinks as well. He's just too effective of a volume puncher, with some nice accuracy. He had me very very slightly worried in round 1 against Powell when he only managed to throw ~65 punches instead of his usual 100+.

I could see a 5-5 split, but I had it 6-4 Quartey. No way do I see Forrest winning 6 rounds, and the judge who had him winning 7 needs to be drug tested.

This whole thing is bull****!! Quartey won that fight. I had it 7 rounds to 5 with a point deduction. I could see it being 6-4 or even 5-5 which i really dont think so, but even if that was the case Quartey would still win a decision because if the deduction. Forrest wont beat any top guys at 154, he looked sloppy and terrible and I thought he got schooled. The guy has nothing to be proud of at all. Ike Quartey won that fight, this **** is ridiculous.

The fight was very close, and the US judges had a slight preference for the US fighter; this reminds me of Ibragimov-Austin fight a lot.

Other possible reason is that Vernon scored more power punches and threw many more punces. Judges had to base the decision on what they saw, without relying on the biased commentaries of HBO, Lederman, and the compubox numbers.
