The knockdown shot Wilder could never recover from.

he didn’t have 9 more rounds lol. From the first flush shot Fury landed you could see the effect his shots were having. He was getting buckled way before the knockdown. While Wilders shots didn’t buckle Fury.Wilder would have had 9 more rounds to try to catch Fury. I have no idea if he would have caught him or not. I guess that's what the rematch will be for. Wilder will have 12 more rounds to try to catch him.
Rewatching the fight now, Fury hit Wilder behind the head so many times in the 3rd round, that it's possible it was a deliberate strategy. Not that it matters. I don't believe in excuses. Fury won. Period. So my argument is not about who should have won the fight. Fury should have won and he did.
My argument has more to do with how the fight is being portrayed in the aftermath. As some sort of dismantling or outclassing. When the truth is that Wilder was the victim of what essentially was a devastating (accidental?) foul, was in absolutely no condition to continue after that, and then Fury beat up a dead man walking for a few rounds. I don't consider that a true reflection of their difference in ability. Had Wilder not gotten up, or refused to continue, his corner cried foul foul foul, filed a protest etc, we wouldn't be sitting here talking about how Wilder was "dominated," "out classed," etc. I don't think the average fan even realizes the punch was completely behind the head. ESPN controlled production of the telecast and it really wasn't in their best interest to shine a light on that.Comment

Maybe this is what your picture would look like from a different angle?Actually quite the opposite. I deliberately posted the exact original point of impact, which doesn't look nearly as bad as where the punch ended up after. I posted the fairest frame possible. If I was trying to be deceptive, I would have posted a few frames later, which looks like this:

But then again what are these? Maybe they're where the punch actually landed and not the back of the head.

Nah watched it many times and saw it land in the ear area. But slid to the back of wilders head as he was going down. It was a clean legal punch. Otherwise bayless would have said soComment
