Instead of pot shotting Fury stepped into his punches. With that weight he really handled Wilder early. Wilder has been too content to sit back and wait and it got exploited.

Yes, I have too and agree. Talked with him for a while at ringside after one of his early fights.

Indeed. His brother Shane said in an IFL Interview today that Tyson never had a World class trainer before. Sugar Hill was the first one. Fury looks better with this style than the previous defensive style.

It’s the worst strategy I have ever seen at that level and it’s worked because people feared the power. Everyone was content to move forward but not rush or bull. I knew fury would win but didn’t think it would be that dominant

Fury trained under Emmanuel Stewart and didn't really have a defensive style...first people really saw that was when he took the belts off Vlad.

There are videos of Emmanuel predicting Fury being the dominant heavyweight from 2012.

Fury was prepared for that right as he came in. Wilder had nothing else. No body attack, no left hook, no combos, nothing extra brought in to this fight. Wilder was not even feinting and most times he got hit his hands were down.

For his credit at least he tried to jab the same time Fury was jabbing but it was too late for that to work at that point of the fight.
