Huh? You're accusing somebody to be on drugs when he was the one presenting a logical arguement? You may not be on drugs dude, but you're worst because you're down right ******.

How can you call a unanimous decision a robbery? What credibilty do you have to question the scores of all the three judges?

Quartey was robbed. He was the agressor and every punch Forrest threw Ike ducked and dodged it then jabbed Forrest. Did you guys hear the crowd? It is what they were chanting, BULL****!!!!!

Yeah sure he was robbed, you're another clown who's calling a unanimous decision a robbery.

Irregardless how you saw it and what the people are chanting the scores are being collected after each round and what ever comes out on the total becomes the final verdict.

You probably didn't even watch the fight. And if you did you heard the crowd, you saw Lederman's card, and you heard what Jim Lampley and Emmanuelle Stewart said. Everyone including Ike knows he should've won. You're right that the final verdict is what it is, but it is bull****.

Exactly. I respect your confidence in your scoring ability ,or that of the judges, to believe Forrest won..but..that fight was won by Quartey. Even if you believe in yourself, just stop for a moment...one moment...and listen to how loudly the crowd screamed for the injustice of the scores. Listen to how upset the commentators were. Look at all of us simply outraged by the desicion.

I have no deep feeling for either fighter.
I have never openly called a fight a robbery before.

Ike Quartey was robbed his victory. Not a stunning defeat, I'm not saying he cleaned the floor with him, but he won the fight. Maybe it was messy, and Forrest had good moments, but Ike was deprived what was his.

this has got to be one of the funniest threads i've come across in a long time. ike quartay was not robbed. to all of you that say "if you listened to the crowd.." well i have to tell you something. if you watched the fight from the crowd you had the worst seat. the best seat is on your couch in front of a 60 inch dlp hdtv like i was. i personally thought the fight could go either way. i tend to not listen to any of the announcers because they end to be very biased themselves. there is much more to be made in a quartay comback than a vernon forest comeback. as has been mentioned before, ike may have been pressing forward but that doesn't make a **** if he isn't producing. another thing i have never taken any stock in is compubox punch stats. someone sitting ringside counting punches pressing buttons. i have actually watched fights in slowmo and counted punches and saw where they got it totally wrong.

with all that being said, i now would like to tell you all that i am a big ike quartay fan and have seen him fight live. i wish the decision would have gone his way but i knew when the final bell rang that this fight could go either way. i never really cared for forest too much but i never really disliked him either.

I had Quartey winning a clear decision. The 10-8 round sealed the deal for me.

just because it was a unanimous desicion doesn't mean it was a good desicion, to me that means it's unanimous that all three judges a blind and ****** because there's no way forrest won that fight

The fight was very close. Ike was the aggressor, an some of you are easily fooled by that as well as Lamp's endless praise of Ike. Ike was not always effective with his aggression, and Vernon was landing many wicked body shots. With the point deduction, it's harder to score it for Vernon...there should be a rematch. Neither guy really seperated themself from the other.

I agree with you a lot on this point, but even without the point deduction I thought Ike squeaked one out, with the deduction it was still close. I wouldn't even argue to heavily with the judges giving the fight to Vernon, however 2 judges scored the fight as if it was a completely lopsided affair of 96-93 which meant that Ike only won 3 rounds Thats what I find horrible when it was clear that it was at the very minimum a close competitive fight on Ike's part.
