In this fight, HE DID. CLEARLY AND UNARGUABLY.

This one has to be added to the topic/poll on what fighters got robbed and whatnot.

I think NY is biased against fighters that is not from america like how korea is biase against american fighters fighting korean fighters. Like the olympics, Roy Jones Jr beat the **** out that Seuk Yan dude. and still lost. Well at least I won my bet.

I don't know whether I should continue watching. This is un****in beleivable, that man got ****ed. Lamply and Manny both thought so, I don't know bout Merchant but still. That gay. Those judges should get ass-****ed and die. And I mean every word of it.

ike beat his ass. especially with the point taken from vernon, that is rediculous,. i guess these judges tonight score punches thrown instead of percentage landed.

Talk about 1000 ways to look at a painting. Ike Quartey found himself on the downside of a decision he appeared to deserve the better fortune in. Quartey was the more accurate, effective puncher throughout, while Vernon was swinging and missing with his wide uppercuts and hooks.

Quartey, who looked absolutely sensational in his public workout this passing Tuesday, put on a gutty, well concocted display of technical brilliance, clearly deserved the victory. Quartey remained the aggressor throughout, and was much more effective with his jab than Forrest. Forrest was the busier fighter, but his porous defense and unstable balance enabled Quartey to take advantage with accurate power shots. I had the fight score 7 rounds to 3 for Quartey, while the judges gave it unanimously to Forrest.

This has been a frequent trouble with Ike Quartey. Quartey, who dropped close decisions to De La Hoya and Vargas, has found it to be difficult to pull out decisions against big name opposition in America. In his last appearance in Madison Square Garden, Quartey was charged with a controversial knockdown and only won by majority decision margins in a fight he clearly dominated against Oba Carr.

Forrest still has some work to get done, and needs to stay busy because he still has alot of ring rust. His balance was very bad, and bad balance is a typical symptom of a boxer either being out of shape, suffering from stylistic flaws, or being shot. While I don't think Forrest is shot, he sure needs to get back in the gym and take on a fringe contender, 10-6 contenders to help regain his form.

Quartey still looks to be in fantastic form, but time is not on his side. He will find it very difficult to get the big names in the ring giving the high risk, intermediate reward that fighting Quartey will bring. Forrest, while victorious, showed vulnerability and holes in his game, thus potentially helping make him an attractive opponent for some of the big name fighters in the welterweight and junior middleweight divisions.

Forrest, who may have been fortuitous tonight, raises his professional ring record to 38-2 (28 KO). Quartey, who has to be very upset with the decision the judges came back with, drops to 37-3-1 (31 KO).
