Bayless has his rep but I think he was also a little annoyed with Fury. Good thing it did not affect the outcome. Don’t need that in a major heavyweight championship fight.
    Agreed, well said.

I more had an issue with Kenny breaking them once, or twice, when it seemed like Wilder really needed a break.

But at the same time, if Kenny really wanted to do all he could for Wilder...he could have called the first KD behind the head...so sometimes it's not easy being a ref...and as you said, at least it didn't affect the outcome.

Sad though that there is so much corruption in boxing that we really have to suspect judges and refs of being in on a fix.

      it was b.s.

Also, Bayless helped hold Wilder up at one point and then Wilder still fell into the ropes and Bayless didn't credit a knockdown

Well, when you got Bayless helping guys up, Harvey Dock standing in perfect position to keep Golovkin from going down off a body shot and Ricky Gonzalez saying Crawford wasn't dropped when he clearly was...what else are we supposed to think?

That point deduction in Round 5 - I found no explanation for it unless I missed it. If it was hitting off the break, I didn't hear him say "Stop". It just came out of nowhere and I thought the fix was in.

Kudos to Fury for not letting it go to the judges. But Bayless pissed me off with that.
Part of the death throes of the corrupt American boxing establishment. The laughable pro Wilder commentaries, the reffing, the scoring in the last fight, the WBC, the old dinosaurs Finkel and all that corrupt house of cards is caving in. The UK will restore the golden era of hw boxing. Fury and AJ will fight. Dubois is not afraid of anyone. Goodbye you con men, welcome the new dawn.

This is EXACTLY why I picked Wilder to win by SD even though I also knew that Fury would beat him all over the ring. When they mentioned Bayless as the ref, I knew there would be some shady activity.

They were trying to carry him to the final bell where the judges would ensure that Wildling would eek it out by a point or two. Stepping in as Wildling is about to get dropped to separate the boxers, buying Wildling some time or the point deduction.....all subtle cheating efforts to aid the favored fighter.

I was surprised by the point, but not really bothered. I assumed it was for holding, and both fighters were warned that Bayless would start taking points if he had to warn again.

Yeah, but the problem is no point was taken from Wilder early when he was initiating clinches afterwards.

I put money on a Wilder SD too for the same reason.

I think this fight would’ve ended earlier if he allows both fighters to work off the clinch at times when they’re not really tied badly.

I thought the deduction was uncalled for too.. he didn’t even issue an initial warning. And both men were rabbit punching on the clinch
I noticed this and it annoys the f.#ck out of me. Bayless was way too quick to break the fighters apart thus negating any inside fighting as you stated.

If you watch any of Mike Tyson's 80s and 90s fights, he was always grappling and working on the inside. With a ref like Bayless, he would not have been able to do that.

He was literally trying to break it up to stop wilder getting hit. U can bet if fury was thr slightest bit wobbled he would have called off the fight
